Ocean education is our passion.
A child asks a question. Tries something new. Discovers that an everyday choice can make a difference. That is why we love these workshops—and why we keep going.
Together with schools and local partners, our education programme has delivered over 600 workshops since 2020. Every week in the Philippines, children explore waste prevention, reuse, repair and circular thinking through hands-on activities. The Circular Roadshow gives them space to learn, take part and bring ideas back to their own communities.
We began in Hong Kong with recycling workshops, supported by HSBC. Those early years were full of energy and learning, and we are grateful for that support. Today, our focus is on the Philippines, where we have always wanted to take this work: close to the schools and communities where we can contribute so much.
What started as recycling workshops has grown into The Circular Roadshow—a broader invitation to rethink how we use materials and care for the world around us.
We have put our own time, company resources and personal funds into making this happen, including plenty of late nights. We do it because education matters. It is our passion, and our way of giving something back.
Thank you to the sponsors, customers and individuals who have helped us along the way. With your support, we can keep welcoming more children into the programme.
Your generosity becomes education.
Every cent donated to us so far has gone into workshops or to the NGO partners delivering them. None of that money has been used for Ocean Material's company expenses. That is a commitment we are proud of.
Ocean Material creates the education concept and learning content. Our local education partner, KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED, brings it to life with teaching staff and schools in Gloria, Mindoro.
We are preparing a direct donation option with the foundation. Contributions through that route will go straight to the NGO, with no administration fee or margin taken by Ocean Material. In the meantime, get in touch with the foundation to support the workshops.
We are preparing online donations. To support the workshops, contact our education partner at maitreyi@komakaranthfoundation.org.
Questions about donating or receiving a receipt? The foundation will be happy to help. You can also find the practical details in our FAQ.
Let’s take the Roadshow further.
The Philippines is part of the journey, not its limit. Would you like to bring The Circular Roadshow to your country? We would love to share our education concept and explore how to make it work with local partners.
Schools, NGOs, sponsors, businesses and individuals: there is room for all of us to help this grow. Talk to Ocean Material at hello@oceanmaterial.com about bringing the Roadshow to your community or supporting its next chapter.
