Who is Ocean Material?
At Ocean Material, our commitment runs deep. We recognize that the battle against ocean plastic pollution is a multifaceted challenge that requires comprehensive solutions. Our first priority has always been to extend our hand to the informal recycling sector, a group of unsung heroes who work tirelessly on the front lines of this crisis. By collaborating with these dedicated individuals and organizations, we aim to build efficient waste management infrastructure, facilitating the responsible handling of plastic waste.
But our mission doesn't end there. Education is a cornerstone of our efforts. We believe that awareness and understanding are the keys to lasting change. Therefore, we're equally dedicated to educating these communities about the critical issue of ocean plastic pollution. Through our initiatives, we're empowering coastal collector communities to make informed choices and contribute to the solution.
Our vision is clear: we aspire to transform global recycling systems. We're working relentlessly to establish sustainable, inclusive, and circular economies. By fostering a holistic approach to recycling and waste management, we aim to create a world where resources are utilized efficiently, and waste is minimized.
Our mission, in essence, is to empower coastal collector communities through ethical recycling practices and environmental education. We want to ensure that the communities we work with not only benefit from our initiatives but also become advocates for a cleaner, healthier planet.
Ocean Material is a commercial materials platform operated by OM Group Limited. Its not-for-profit education contribution is distinct from that commercial activity.
For The Circular Roadshow, Ocean Material is the programme initiator and educational content partner. KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED is the NGO responsible for local programme organisation and delivery.
What is The Circular Roadshow?

KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED organises local delivery through schools, teaching staff and programme activities.
How many workshops have taken place?
The Circular Roadshow has delivered over 600 workshops since 2020 across the wider education programme. This is the cumulative education-programme figure, not a claim that KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED delivered all of those workshops.
Where does the programme operate?
The current Philippines programme has been active since 2025 in the wider Gloria / Mindoro region. KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED organises local teaching and school participation.
How can I support the programme?
The direct NGO donation route is being prepared. Please see our donation information for the current status, recipient and programme contact. Commercial sponsorships with agreed benefits are handled separately from donations.
Who receives donations?
The planned route sends donations directly to KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED through its own payment provider. Ocean Material will not receive or forward these donations and takes no administration fee or margin. The NGO handles donation administration. Any provider fees and use-of-funds information must be checked at the donation destination.
Who is KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED?
KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED is our NGO partner for local education delivery. It was incorporated in Hong Kong on 9 December 2022, company number 3216673. The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department lists it as tax-exempt under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, effective 10 February 2024. See the official charity list and the NGO website.
Can I receive a donation receipt or claim a tax deduction?
Ask KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION LIMITED about the receipt it can issue. A PayPal, Stripe or other payment-provider confirmation is not automatically a charitable tax receipt. Tax deductibility depends on your jurisdiction and circumstances; Hong Kong tax-exempt status does not establish deductibility in every country.
