Description
Green recycled polypropylene pellets made from end-of-life fishing ropes, with MFI 3–4.
Ocean Material helps you assess this grade against your processing and product requirements, coordinate material qualification with the partner facility, and clarify sourcing and supply conditions. Technical data sheets, detailed specifications and supporting documentation are available on request.
Specifications
Material: recycled polypropylene (PP).
Colour: Green.
MFI: 3–4.
Select this grade against the intended process and the corresponding technical data sheet (TDS). Confirm the test conditions and further technical details in that TDS.
Applications
For converters evaluating recycled PP for moulded components, consumer products, packaging or construction and interior applications. The appropriate MFI type depends on your process, tooling and finished-product requirements. Ocean Material coordinates the selection and qualification with the partner facility.
Origin
Countries of origin: China, Taiwan. The PP feedstock comes from end-of-life fishing ropes. These ropes have been used in fishing, reached the end of their useful life, and are collected for recycling. This is post-consumer feedstock rather than manufacturing scrap; it does not imply that the material consists of lost ghost gear recovered from the ocean.
Sustainability & Impact
Using recovered fishing ropes as a recycled PP feedstock supports material recovery after the gear's service life. The environmental performance of a specific grade depends on its production and supply chain; a general origin description is not a quantified impact claim.
Quality & Traceability
Material qualification should use the TDS and the origin, quality and traceability information relevant to the selected grade and partner facility. Ocean Material helps coordinate that review. Certification scope and available documentation must be checked for the specific grade; they are not automatically identical across these products.
Source Certification: Source Certified. Supporting origin documentation is reviewed for the selected material and supply.
Existing certification records list Global Recycling Standard. The applicable certificate, covered material and supply scope must be checked for the selected order; this is not blanket coverage for every grade or origin.
Compliance: REACH information is available on request for review against the intended material and market. REACH is a regulatory framework, not a product certificate.
Carbon Footprint & LCA
Life cycle assessments (LCAs) are available for selected materials and production sites within our partner network. Availability and scope vary by material grade, production location and supply chain.

FAQ
What are end-of-life fishing ropes?
Fishing ropes that have reached the end of their useful working life and are collected for recycling. They are not automatically lost or abandoned ghost gear.
What does post-consumer mean here?
The ropes were used in fishing before recovery. This describes the feedstock history, not a guarantee that every component of the final material is recycled.
Which grade is this?
Green; MFI 3–4
Which applications can be considered?
For converters evaluating recycled PP for moulded components, consumer products, packaging or construction and interior applications. The appropriate MFI type depends on your process, tooling and finished-product requirements. Ocean Material coordinates the selection and qualification with the partner facility.
What colour is supplied?
Green. Confirm the required appearance through sample evaluation.
How can I request samples and technical documents?
Technical data sheets, detailed specifications and supporting documentation are available on request. Use the material inquiry button with your application, specification, quantity and delivery destination. Sampling conditions are set out in Ordering & Lead Time.
