Description
Our Recycled PET Ocean-Bound Bright Green Flakes turn recovered PET bottles from the Philippines into a material resource for further PET processing. Their light, bright-green appearance provides a distinctive coloured feedstock for applications where this shade fits the intended product.
Potential applications include PET strapping, coloured polyester fibres and other PET processing routes, depending on the selected specification. Ocean Material helps customers match the material to their application, coordinate samples and review requirements such as colour, flake size, cleanliness, intrinsic viscosity and moisture. Technical data sheets, detailed specifications and traceability documentation are available on request.
Specifications
The material is recycled PET (rPET) in flake form, classified as Ocean-Bound Plastic. Its colour is Green, with a bright-green appearance.
Colour, flake size, cleanliness, intrinsic viscosity (IV) and moisture requirements are reviewed against the customer's process. The selected specification is confirmed during material selection. Technical data sheets and detailed specifications are available on request.
Applications
Potential application paths include PET strapping, coloured polyester fibres and further PET processing. Suitability depends on the selected specification and processing route, including the intended colour and quality requirements.
Food-contact or bottle-to-bottle suitability is not automatic and requires separate confirmation for the material and processing route.
Origin
The material originates in the Philippines. Its feedstock is recovered ocean-bound PET bottles. Available origin documentation is reviewed for the selected supply. Ocean-bound is a feedstock classification and does not mean that the material was recovered from the sea.
Ocean-bound plastic is discarded plastic at risk of entering the ocean, for example where collection and waste management are inadequate. This classification does not mean that the material was recovered directly from the sea.
Sustainability & Impact
Returning ocean-bound PET bottles to new material applications supports the use of recovered plastic as a resource for further PET processing. Material preparation, processing and the supply chain influence environmental performance. No fixed recycled-content percentage or quantified carbon saving is claimed for this grade.
Quality & Traceability
Ocean Material supports material selection, sampling and the review of available origin documentation. Colour, flake size, cleanliness, intrinsic viscosity and moisture requirements are aligned with the customer's specification and processing route.
Available technical and traceability documents are reviewed for this material and supply. Documentation or certificates for other grades are not automatically applicable to this product.
Source Certification: Source Certified. Supporting origin documentation is reviewed for the selected material and supply.
Carbon Footprint & LCA
Life cycle assessments (LCAs) are available for selected materials and production sites within our partner network. Availability and scope vary by material grade, production location and supply chain.
